About
While some journeys are meant to be taken alone, others are meant to be shared. So whether you’re struggling with depression or anxiety or looking to embark upon a path of healing, self-discovery, or process a life transition, together we can work to get you where you want to be.
As a Muslim woman of multicultural heritage, I know the challenges that come with seeking to feel seen, heard and understood. My approach to therapy is one that is collaborative, and informed by a sociocultural lens as well as an understanding that wellness is holistic and must encompass all aspects of our being: physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual.
Our life experiences, relationships and family histories are all part of the tapestry that makes up who we are, how we show up in the world and how we relate to others. By looking to our pasts, we can better understand why we are the way we are, map the patterns of thought and behavior that are contributing to our distress, and use them to inform who we choose to be moving forward.
All of us have a unique story waiting to be told. Together, we’ll identify your goals and strengths and through curious exploration, expand insight so that you can feel empowered to be the author of your own narrative. My aim is to create a space of openness and warmth and would be honored to accompany you on your journey of growth and healing. Reach out and let’s see if we’re a good fit!
