About
Prior to embarking down the path of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I spent over a decade working in literature, the arts, and non-profit administration. In that life, I strove to create spaces for artists and writers to be able to share their creations, spaces that were comfortable and welcoming, yet had an audience capable of appreciating the nuances of the work presented and able to offer constructive criticism and feedback. In many ways, my work with patients today is similar.
We all have a story to tell, often with remarkable beauty and profound sorrow, but some of us struggle with how to tell it, how to make meaning from the life we’ve lived. Together we will examine your past and present experience, the story as it’s been written up to now, and explore what the future might hold and how we might get there.
I welcome all clients, but especially those going through or desiring a plot twist: parenthood, career changes or stagnation, relationship struggles, reaching a milestone age, or anything that can leave us questioning our place in the story around us. There is always another chapter ahead.
