About

It can be daunting to start therapy, whether it’s new to you or if you’ve had some experience with it. My main concern will be to help you feel comfortable putting words to your experience — your feelings and thoughts, your personal history, your current struggles and successes. I listen closely so I can understand how you see yourself and your relationships. From the very beginning, my hope is that you will feel free to tell me what’s working and what’s not.

The trusting nature of the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of everything else that happens in therapy, whether you’re looking to better understand yourself, cope with difficult experiences, or make changes in your life. Perhaps you have a sense that you could be more fulfilled, at peace, or present for yourself and others. Or maybe there is something specific that you have been struggling with for a while and it hasn’t been getting better. Together we can explore what’s getting in the way, why, and what can help. Throughout our work, you will be in charge of what direction we take and I will strive to make sure the journey feels safe and useful to you.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or to explore whether I would be a good fit for you.
